NEXTGen Detroit, Hazon Detroit and Hillel of Metro Detroit present In A Pickle: A Jewish Pickling Experience with The Gefilteria July 23 | 8 PM

These are your bubbe’s pickles — and that’s a good thing! Try your hand at the ancient art of pickling with food expert and entrepreneur Jeffrey Yoskowitz of The Gefelteria. The Gefelteria is an innovative Jewish cooking group focused on revolutionizing Ashkenazi cuisine, and in the process, they have created a culinary laboratory where Ashkenazi stories and culinary wisdom from the Old World can be explored and shared with a new generation.

Join us for an evening of pickling and a celebration of Jewish memory where we will make our our sauerkraut and pickled dill cucumbers (or green beans, your choice).
