Last week I shared a text from Peter Schotten, which describes the difference between religiosity and spirituality.  He said spirituality “knows nothing about God and postulates nothing about ethical obligations.” Here is another definition of spirituality:

How does a spiritual journey begin?  I believe that whenever we make a decision whose goal extends beyond pure self-interest, we may be said to act in a spiritual way.  When we set on a course of action that is designed to benefit someone else or something other than oneself, we take a step on a spiritual path.
